Forte Academy Of Music We believe that all students seeking music education deserve high quality, comprehensive training. The Academy combines traditional music instruction with the latest in music instruction technology to give students a solid foundation of musical knowledge. The Academy seeks to develop a musical foundation that will last a lifetime; one that can be applied to a professional music career or just for fun.



At Fort Academy of Music children and adults are learning music in a challenging and innovative manner, with tremendous success. Fort Academy of Music was founded in 1997 by Mary S. Reinker. Mrs. Reinker, a piano instructor for over thirty years in Illinois, California, and Colorado, founded Fort Academy with her daughter Meryt Reinker Dean to provide quality instruction in piano and other instruments. Their goal was to establish a method for students to learn music in a supportive environment with progress monitored regularly.

Mary S. Reinker
Mary S. Reinker
Academy Founder and Director, Mrs. Reinker has been performing as a pianist and organist for over 35 years. She received a Bachelor of Music Degree in Piano, and a Master of Music Degree in Composition from Chicago Musical College. She has done post graduate studies in Piano Performance and Pedagogy and has attended the Taubman Institute of Piano in Amherst and Williamstown, Massachusetts.
Manuel Lopez
Manuel Lopez
Manuel Lopez has over 10 years of progessional experience. Having studied at the University of Denver, he is fluent in all styles of music from Latin styles, rock and jazz, to funk and hop hop. His career has led him to perform abroad in Mexico, Africa, and Peru while maintaining a consistent performing schedule in Colorado.
Randal Ames
Randal Ames
Randal Ames has a B.A. from the University of Colorado, and has been playing guitar for more than 35 years. Mr. Ames has also played guitar, bass, mandolin and piano in the U.S. and Europe, accompanying such superstars as Sammy Davis Jr. and Jimmy Buffet. As a member of the 7th Army Chorus he performed as a singer, dancer, musician, and choreographer in five languages and eleven countries.
Marissa Ferro
Marissa Ferro
Marissa Ferro began her violin studies at the age of three. At age 10, she started playing the viola as a chamber and string orchestra musician, performing a solo recital on both instruments at the age of 16. She then decided to focus on Viola Performace, receiving a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Minnesota, and continued her graduate studies at the University of Southern California.
Jennifer Ketcham
Jennifer Ketcham
Jennifer Ketcham received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She also earned certification in the Orff method of music education. Mrs. Ketcham enjoys teaching students of all ages and bringing them the joy of making music.

I like the professionalism of Forté Academy’s instruction. It is up to date with current methods for correct playing. As a beginning adult I also appreciate the encouragement I receive from Forté instructors.
