My son has been taking 30 min, once weekly lessons from Kent for over 2 years now. He started in first grade and would often get frustrated with himself at how difficult it was for him to get the music to sound the way he wanted it to sound. Kent stuck with him every step of the way, encouraging him just enough and always with a "hey you've got this" attitude.
He instilled the growth mind-set and over the course of the years has helped shape him into the player he is today. They are currently working on the Mission Impossible theme song which is a lot of fun. They really enjoy working with one another and we couldn't be happier.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, utilizing online lessons through platforms like Zoom has proven to be a valuable way to spend time. I highly recommend taking advantage of their remote learning opportunities as they provide access to exceptional teachers who are knowledgeable and supportive in their expertise.

Damn. I was impressed by the music factory. Their teachers are active in the music community and masterful and making singing accessible for even yoddlers like me! Shalane helped me sing soprano more like a siren goddess and less like a siren ambulance. I was able to master some of the techniques that I was stuck on in musical theater growing up. Now I don't embarrass myself in karaoke!

Alex is an amazing teacher. My daughter took guitar from him for over a year and she progressed quickly both in skill level with guitar, but also in confidence and social skills. My daughter has some issues relating to other people, including some speech issues, and I was upfront with Alex about this before signing her up. He was amazing the whole way. Always positive and always a great communicator both in person and via email.

I took several guitar classes with Kimo a while back - he is an excellent instructor and very personable. He was more concerned with teaching me how to play the guitar rather than trying to get me to pay for more sessions. I still have his very helpful teaching notes! In addition to the actual instruction, he also had great advice on what to or not to buy - I am an expert at the violin (this is not like an Asian thing but I had insisted to learn it) but was a complete novice with the guitar.
It also helps that he is a bonafide musician in an actual band - I attended one of his concerts, which was very enjoyable, but had to leave before I could talk to him. As for the facilities, I wasn't very impressed with what I saw, which was a little bit limited and I can be a bit harsh sometimes with my reviews. They do seem to be sufficient. I am giving them 5 stars because of Kimo.

Ari Joshua does a good job of teaching this adult student music theory and clever jazz guitar voicings. Ari has a nice way about him and his calm demeanor makes the learning experience nonthreatening and enjoyable. Ari's background and current music career outside of the school also impressed me and I have seen him play live on a number of occasions which is also inspiring to this frustrated musician! Who says "those who can't do, teach"? Ari does both exceptionally well.

As many people have commented this place is laid back and the instruction is of high quality. I took advantage of a groupon or something along those lines and took a series of piano lessons with Matt who was fantastic! He was knowledgeable and easy to communicate with. He has a knack and breaking things down to help me with the tips and tricks I was looking for to learn the gist of pieces more quickly.
They were also flexible with my schedule offering weekend and later appointments. While I do think they could use some adult size chairs in the waiting room and parking isn't my favorite in the area, the overall experience was very positive and I would recommend them if I knew someone was looking.

Here's why I dig The Music Factory. The atmosphere is casual, personable and relaxed, but the instructors are real professionals who know what they're talking about and don't just give you Green Day tabs (unless you're into that, I'm sure). I've taken all kinds of music lessons with all kinds of folks in all kinds of places and settings and what I learn at The Music Factory is comparable to what I could get at any serious school without the pretentiousness.
My ukulele lessons with Kimo have been illuminating. I totally appreciate his willingness and ability to work through my various neuroses with patience, grace and clarity. Kimo brings a refreshing combination of content knowledge, adaptability, professionalism and humanity to his instruction--the cherry atop my Tuesday evening parfait.

I began taking singing lessons with Bridgid at the music factory from an online coupon and had a great time. My voice got consistently and measurably better and I felt like I was given quality instruction at the lesson as well as good ideas for practicing at home. Bridgid is laid back and friendly and a great instructor. Thank you!

If only this fit into my lifestyle better. I had lessons for several months with Ari and he proved to not only be an outstanding teacher but a gentleman and a scholar. They're flexible with schedules and can certainly accommodate if a weekly lesson isn't possible. If you see another groupon/living social come up for this place, don't hesitate. Get as many as you can!
