I have to thank Dr. Roeben for the infinite patience and competence she showed towards me. Last year I purchased a violin from Corilon attributed to Collin Mezin (father). When I felt the need to change it for a superior violin, first a Pilar was sent to me to test, then, since I wasn't convinced, the following week I received two more violins to test (in fact I had the opportunity to try 3 violins). Dr. Roeben (after having understood my needs and tastes) had suggested a violin from the 1700s (but which was outside the budget I had initially given): however when I played the violin for the first time, it was a shock lightning. An extraordinary instrument (Italian-French violin).
The advice was right. All my doubts were answered quickly and competently. The patience and trust (sending me three instruments to test) shown towards me justify a great gratitude towards Corilon: thanks to you I found the violin I dreamed of.

Our son needed a new violin, the Corilon web site had a fantastic choice for the size we were after. We live in the UK and while the site offers a great delivery option we ordered with a in store pickup. Dr Annette Roeben was extremely helpful with arranging the whole experience. The in-store choice will truly impress you! The violin we selected online was even better in real life. It came totally prepared, we have even received a shoulder bridge as a gift. So thank you, Corilon violins and personal thank you to Dr Annette Roeben!

I recently purchased a violin from Corilon, and had a great experience with the entire process. Specifically, it was the "19th century French violin by Nicolas Morlot" which has a painting of a merman figure on the back. The description that they had given for the violin's tone of "warm, mature, rich in overtones, resonant" was definitely accurate.
The warmth and resonance on the violin is wonderful and I have been able to enjoy its performance in practices and orchestra rehearsals since its delivery to me about a month ago. Although I had been initially skeptical of purchasing a violin online without trying it in-person at a store first, I definitely feel that this was a great choice and well worth the price that I had paid for it (approximately $3,200).
I would recommend Corilon to anybody looking to purchase a fine antique instrument at a fair price. If you too are skeptical of buying online, just know that they have an equally fair 30-day return policy to help give confidence in the purchase process. They were also prompt and helpful when I emailed their team with a few questions I had about the violin's history and restoration process, since I had never used an antique violin before this one.

I had been stuck for some time, trying to decide between upgrading to an advanced student violin, or stretching my budget to the limit to get a bit of the tone and character I actually like in a violin. I was pleasantly surprised to find lovely antiques within my "stretch" budget in Corilon's collection, as well as impressive new instruments in a price range that I had essentially ruled out previously.
I decided to order an Opus 12, which arrived safely within a few days. It certainly provides the response and resonance I need to progress, and it's also a beautiful instrument with power and character way beyond what I expected to find in this price range. Highly recommended!

I feel so lucky that I could find a 1850s 1/4 Mittenwald violin here when my daughter is just about to change from 1/8 to a bigger one. The violin is in perfect condition as its age. My daughter is so exciting to have it and can't wait to play it with her 1/8 bow once she got it. We all love its mature and radiant sound. I will definitely continue to looking for 1/2, 3/4 and full size historic violins here during my daughter's growth.

Dr. Roeben has been very helpfull and professional throughtout the whole process that took us to decide for the violin of our choice, answering our many questions and inquiries. We have received the violin (a German instrument dated 1850), after few days the payment was transferred, in excellent conditions and exactly as seen in the pictures on the website. I would definitely reccomend Corilon violins. Francesco M.

I have purchased my violin through Corilon and the best part of the experience was the advice and knowledge I received from the owner and her staff: 1. The owner is very knowledgeable about the instruments and she is an authority in her field 2. Based on my mentioned preferences and budget, Corilon recommend violins that seemed very close to what I was looking for 3. After the purchase, I maintained contact with the owner and I often seek support and enquirers. Frankly, value for money, Corilon is a great choice which I highly recommend

Hello Dr. Roebens, Greetings! We can't ever say enough "thank yous" to Corilon Violins that would express our joy and satisfaction with the four wonderful violins that we had the privilege to purchase from Corilon Violins! Dr. Roeben, we are so grateful for your precious and highly professional advice that you kindly shared with us every time we had a question, no matter how "silly" it was.
Even today, as we prepare to complete another purchase from Corilon Violins we are enjoying your wonderful and free guidance! Corilon Violins has been supplying our two young daughters wisely with truly amazing instruments; our sixteen year old has found with you her most precious "life time" Czech Master with a Golden sound" -that every one admires- at a very conservative price indeed.
She was offered $20,000.00 for it at the Washington DC State Festival (which she politely declined off course) but found a new admiration for the instrument she already loved so much! Our family highly recommends Corilon Violins for great quality violins at a very affordable price, that will come to you with the best guidance, explanation & discernment when you just ask Dr. Roeben for a little help. Thank you Corilon Violins & teams of luthiers, thank you Dr. Annette Roeben for the wonderful service you provide us all with! Best regards, J-L Gillet
