We offer private instruction for many instruments. Lessons are typically half-an-hour long, one per week, and are taught in the studios here at Hoover. The lessons are one-on-one, a perfect compliment to ensemble instruction.

Hoover music is a great place to go to when you need a stringed instrument. The string instruments always have the lower prices and are in great condition. When I went there I was renting a violin for my daughter, they said they could give us 35% off the purchase if I just bought the violin and then I asked why, and they said just too be nice. I thought the employees and music teachers were very kind as well.
They have a very proper language and are very polite. They have always gotten me what I wanted, but even for pianos and non string instruments like that. But they mostly do best with the strong instruments, I will say that they have a larger variety on them as well.

Store looked presentable. I called them the night before and asked specifically if they rented cellos. They said they did and I asked them if they would have any in stock when I showed up the next morning, and they assured me they would. I showed up the next morning (after an hour and a half drive) and the manager on the floor checked and said they were out of stock of cellos to rent.

I called and asked about restringing a guitar. They said yes, we can get it in. Should take 15 minutes. I took the guitar on a Wed morning and I had to call on Friday to check on it. When i finally got it back, they left the sharp ends of the strings sticking out so now it tears up the inside of my son's guitar case. Also they didn't tune the guitar like they said they would. VERY unhappy with my experience at Hoover.

Quality is all they offer. I've taken my saxophone there on multiple occasions to get different parts fixed, and this last time they offered to fix the whole thing up (since it needed a lot of repair) for about $300, and I consented. When I got my saxophone back, they told me it was as good as new, and it sure was! It played 100% better. Well worth the price I paid. Hoover music does an exceptional job, and of all the music stores in the area, they are by far the best choice on my list.

Been a Hoover customer for +/- 18 years. Scott, Richie, and the crew have always been awesome to do business with. Great selection of gear, accessories, and other fun stuff. If they don't have what you're looking for, they'll order whatever you need and not charge a ridiculous fee. Can't go wrong here, I love this place!

As a piano teacher since 1968, I've never seen the huge quantity of selections of piano music that Hoovers have in their store. The staff is always very helpful when I have questions or can't find what I'm looking for. I also appreciate the way they display the music in their big bins {they are very organized and it's easy to browse through}.
