All of our teachers are University trained with professional performance experience. Our music teachers are dedicated to learning about your personal musical goals and helping you to achieve them. With multiple teachers for every instrument, we are confident that we have the right teacher to meet your music lesson needs. In addition to their teaching credentials, our teachers have warm personalities, are extremely friendly and dedicated to teaching you the style of music that you want to learn.

Our rooms are stocked with everything you need for music lessons, including amps, stereos, professional sized drum kits, keyboards, pianos and more. Our large ensemble rooms include full P.A. equipment with multiple headphones for play-a-long and ensemble rehearsals. We have spent thousands of dollars on our studio to offer soundproofing and observation windows.

I've been here for 3 years now for my daughter's voice lessons, and I have to give this school props. My daughter has loved every lesson with her wonderful teacher, and I've seen her do nothing but improve. When she is on stage during her concerts I almost can't recognize her. Definitely worth my 5 stars.

I am very pleased with the Birmingham School of Music. The staff is really great and friendly. Duncan works really well with my 4yr old son, he is very patient with him. I can tell that Duncan is very knowledgeable and has worked with children before. I am thrilled about following my son's progress in this program.

The staff and instructors at BSM are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is fun and my children look forward to their lessons each week. Although freakishly tall and imposing, the school's director Russ, is beloved by all the kids for his humor and easy-going manner. I highly recommend the Birmingham School of Music as a great center for music lessons.

I brought my daughter here to help her break out of her shell and her comfort zone. In 4 months she had developed the confidence to sing solo onstage and performed at the June concert. I love her teacher, Duncan, and appreciate his patience with her. We love BSM!

My daughter takes piano lessons and has also participated in the voice camp. She loves her teachers and all the staff are so friendly and make learning fun. The recitals are optional and voluntary so there is no pressure to perform in front of a crowd if they are apprehensive to do so. I highly recommend them if you or your child wants to learn an instrument.

We LOVE Birmingham School of Music! My children take piano, drums, guitar and one child participates in the rock ensemble class that has been very beneficial to her individual classes. The instructors are extremely knowledgable and encouraging. They have always been able to find ways to kee my children engaged and excited about their lessons.
