I began my teaching career at Lakewood Dance and Music Center in Norfolk, Va. in 2002, during my second year of college as a music major. I then went on to start my own private studio in 2005 at Alpha Music in Virginia Beach, Va. With a loyal student following, I have been fortunate enough to teach full-time at my home studio in Virginia Beach, Va. for the last two years. Below is a photo of the private studio, so you can get acquainted with my space.

I am a full-time, private music instructor of voice, piano, guitar, songwriting and music theory. I absolutely LOVE helping my students reach their own personal musical goals, no matter how great or small. I enjoy teaching all ages and I believe it is truly never too late to learn!

I teach all styles of vocal music, including musical theater, jazz, pop, country, and classical repertoire. I prepare you for all types of settings, and I offer college audition preparation with training in sight-singing, music theory, and art songs/arias sung in Latin, German, French, Italian, and English.

Alice Conner

Alice Conner is an acoustic singer/songwriter and performer. She has been performing for years, melding her different musical influences into a soulful package of blues, folk, country, jazz, rock and everything in between. She is most at home playing at vineyards, weddings, cozy coffeehouses, private parties, and festivals. She had a great deal of success from her debut CD entitled, "View from Above" (recorded at Flat Five studios in Salem, VA.) and has performed live in-studio sessions on 93.7 BOB FM, 89.5 WHRV and 100.9 WRRW.
