I've been working at North Main for close to 4 months and have been with the company for 2 years and it's always been a very welcoming, interactive environment. My time here has always been positive and I've only had a couple situations when I wasn't informed in time for a cancelled lesson, but overall, the staff is organized and punctual for when teachers are absent, schedule changes, etc.
The building is very well maintained and the teachers are friendly and open-minded to expand student skills and also, making sure to allow the students choose what they want to learn. When I first started taking voice lessons at North Main, I was very grateful that there was flexibility in student choice as well as there being time focused on ability and honing in on skill and techniques with warm-ups and drills to work on at home.
I've definitely expanded with delving into different genres of music and my teacher, Diane Maille, has always been supportive and given me insightful feedback on how I can improve, my achievements, and such. The student concerts are organized and are structured in a way to truly display all the student achievement that is evident at North Main. I can genuinely say, that it's been a pleasure being a part of the company and I look forward to 2019.

I can't say enough about our experiences at North Main Music! The staff is top notch and incredibly accommodating. My girls have had the opportunity to train under several piano, guitar and vocal instructors and each has demonstrated a vested interest in the girls development, and each brings an energizing vibe to each lesson. Thank-you North Main for being and integral part of our village!

My daughters, ages 9 and 11, have been taking lessons at North Main for nearly two years now. I am very impressed with how far they have come, and with how much they enjoy their instruments. I give all of the credit to North Main and their wonderful teachers, as they encourage the girls to play the kind of music that they like, and that is meaningful to them.
This approach has kept the girls engaged and willing to put in practice time. My oldest is also a singer in one of North Main's kid bands which has been a wonderful experience for her. It's an opportunity I'm not sure she would have gotten at another school.

My daughter came to me one day and told me she wanted to play the guitar. I called North Main Music and set up an intro. lesson and haven't looked back. After two short years she is playing and writing songs. She also decide to try singing lessons and now does them along with her weekly guitar lessons. Each instructor is amazing and brings their own style and instruction based on your child's needs. I recommend North Main Music to everyone!

North Main Music is, by far, the best music school in the Nashua, NH, area. Having been involved with the school for almost 3 years now, I can say with confidence that it is an incredibly supportive, and enthusiastic community within which to learn music. I love attending the semi-annual student concerts and seeing the teachers interact with the students before and after their performances because it is so clear from their heartfelt expressions that they care deeply about their students and want the best for them.
Another thing I love about North Main Music is that the school does a great job building a music community, and not just a school. They have multiple groups, such as teen and adult bands, an acappella group, and activities throughout the year, such as NMM Night at the NH Fisher Cats and the Sizzlin' Summer Cover Song contest, that students are encouraged to get involved with.
I've seen so many kids develop lasting friendships and gain new confidence through these activities. North Main Music is also great because they encourage their students to learn the songs that they love. Their teachers understand that a student is more likely to stay engaged and go further with their music education if they are learning songs that they truly love, instead of being forced to try to learn a prescribed curriculum of songs they have no interest in. I wholeheartedly recommend this school to anyone who wants to have *fun* and be part of a fantastic and supportive community while furthering their music education.

North Main Music and Aaron have been so amazing for my son's development over the last year with his music. He has improved tremendously and it is because of the talented teacher he has. We can't thank you enough for teaching him to be a better musician and helping him learn to love music. It has been a wonderful experience! We also appreciate the flexibility when unplanned events create problems with our planned lessons. We would recommend Aaron and North Main Music to anyone who wants to learn how to play an instrument.

I worked at North Main Music for almost 7 years and have nothing but good things to say about all the talented instructors who dedicate themselves to their art. Mike runs a studio unlike anything I have seen, building community through concerts, bands and many opportunities to bring music to Nashua. I highly recommend North Main Music and any of the fine instructors: Deanna, Diane, Jason, Travis, Sibvon, Andrew, Aaron, and all the others :-.

My son has been taking guitar lessons for the past six years and he just loves the place. His teacher is so passionate about the guitar and it shows in how he plays and teaches. We really like his teaching style. We always look forward to their student concerts - love the atmosphere and how each performer receives tremendous encouragement. Highly recommended! -Mani

North Main Music is great! My 8 year old son has been taking piano lessons there and really enjoys learning from his teacher. My son has learned a lot and his teacher gives great positive feedback and support to help foster his love of music. The staff are wonderful and flexible. We would definitely recommend this school to anyone interested in learning to play an instrument or sing.

North Main Music is unlike any other music school. Once you've experienced the exciting teachers, community, and atmosphere at North Main, it's hard to imagine why music should be taught any other way. Starting with seriously experienced and professional teachers, you will learn what YOU want to learn to achieve YOUR goals so that YOU will have fun playing music. There's no being forced to learn from stuffy books or stuffy people. Just relax, have fun, and learn music your way with North Main Music.

My 9 year old daughter took guitar lessons for a few months. She enjoyed them, but the instruction was minimal at best. A beginner's guitar book for $15 would have been just as good. The real issue is they force you to pay for a full month in advance ... $125 and it has to be a direct debit from a checking or savings account. Another policy is they need 30 days notice to cancel.
When we cancelled our daughter, we were still charged the $125 in error. They agreed we shouldn't have been charged and I have been waiting 2 weeks for a refund. I just got off the phone with a person named John (lucky to have gotten an actual person not a voice mail). He told me the credit had been processed. When I told him it hadn't hit my account ... he just kept repeating himself and offered no explanation.
I got angry ... he hung up on me. Not a great customer experience to say the least. If you are looking for music lessons for yourself or your child, please do yourself a favor and go with an independent instructor. Larger companies these days are all about their bottom line and are not interested in taking care of their customers.

Both of my children had been taking music lessons at North Main for over two years. We stopped taking lessons there in favor of something more local since we moved and as the old song says, you don't know what you've got till it's gone. The educators at North Main are not just well versed in music, but they're professionals. When we had lessons scheduled for 6:30, they started at 6:30.not 6:40 or even 6:50!
The instructors knew how to make music FUN for our daughters- they practiced during the week and they couldn't wait until the next lesson. When we first signed up it was explained to us that if we missed a lesson for whatever reason that makeup lessons weren't promised, yet on the occasions that we did miss a lesson due to vacationing, sickness, whatever, they always managed to fit us in at another time.
We tried two other places (that shall remain nameless) and the instructors were not in North Main's league. The owners didn't seem to care about anything but money. The kids were nowhere near as motivated or interested. Lesson learned: when I asked the kids if they wanted to go back to North Main Music one of them literally started jumping with joy.
We had to wait a couple of weeks for spots to open up and everyone was delighted when we finally got the call. They even asked one of their students to switch time so that my kids could take lessons at the same time and the student was nice enough to agree. It now takes us an extra 20 minutes or so each way to drive to North Main Music but it's well worth it. Thanks, guys!

We love North Main Music. Both of my boys are taking lessons and absolutely love it! My 11 year old is enjoying guitar lessons. His instructor, Dave, teaches him by allowing him to play music he likes. He keeps it fresh and never boring! My son always come out of his lessons telling me he can't wait to show me what he learned this time. My 7 year old is taking piano lessons.
His instructor, Diane, is fantastic! He is so comfortable with her. I can't believe how much he has learned in the short time he's been taking lessons. I was also pleased that when I called to set up lessons for them, North Main was able to get them in at the same time. They were very accommodating! We couldn't be having a better experience.

My son has been taking guitar lessons at North Main Music for over six years now and is still as enthusiastic about playing as he was when he first started! The instructors are engaging, knowledgeable, and very supportive - they understand the music he loves and they give him the tools and training to make him a better player. We can't wait to see him perform at the recitals - it's so much fun to see how proud he is of his guitar playing!

My son loves North Main Music. That is where he met the vocalist of his band. They made me and my son feel very welcome. The teacher is definitely a people person and he knows so much about guitars and other musical items. My son was able to speak to him and get what he needed for his guitar and I tell people I talk to how this is a very great place to purchase guitars and guitar accessories. All other employees there have also been very nice and friendly.
