This studio has everything that you need for your music interests. My son started as a drummer in a band a couple of years back and its been such a great experience for him. Mark is an excellent musician/instructor, easy going, knows exactly how to teach kids in an efficient and fun way. The quarterly performances by kids are a great confidence booster for kids, as well as inspiration to everyone else.

After attending a couple of music performances, I started taking guitar lessons with Mark and I'm really enjoy working with him. My daughter also joined a band an year back as singer. We love it, highly recommended!

I love it here! My bands have been practicing here and playing with Mark for the past couple years and it's been only great experiences. I have been taking lessons from Mark for about 2 years now and he is an amazing teacher. I went from not knowing what a bass was to playing in a band with other students of his. Mark is very supportive and helps his students with anything they need music wise. Mark teaches his students the songs they want to play. Students guitar skills evolve and build while learning their choice of music. It is a brilliant model that motivates students to practice.

Mark is passionate about performing and creates bands with his students both youth and adults and provides them opportunities to perform throughout the year. Teaching guitar is Mark's main focus, but he is skilled at bass, piano and drums too. In addition to being a talented musician, Mark is amazingly patient and with an easy going personality. No matter your age, if you have always wanted to learn how to play guitar, I would contact Mark.

Mark is a superb musician and instructor. He's helped me learn difficult solos and helped me prepare songs that my wife and I played at our son's wedding. It was a blast preparing backing tracks to make our music sound professional. He's a skilled producer of music for those students interested in recording. He also schedules regular events for students who would like to perform what they've learned.

Mark is extremely personable and has a laid back style of teaching that is encouraging and definitely not intimidating in any way. He's been my guitar teacher for several years now and I thoroughly enjoy working with him.

We were introduced to Explore Guitar lessons through one of Mark's current students. Our son has now been taking electric guitar lessons for several years. He started with no experience and has been joyfully taken through the fundamentals of playing, not to mention how to tune, change strings and generally how to take care of his guitar. The experience has sharpened guitar skills, offered performance opportunities, and truly brought a new dimension to our son's musical appreciation & enjoyment.

Mark is infinitely patient, intuitive in his approach to learning styles, strikes a great balance between playing through songs & focusing on fundamentals, and always leads my teenager to a better, calmer state of mind during the challenges of learning. My husband also takes bass lessons and thoroughly enjoys the depth of knowledge, experience, advice, and musical mentoring that has been extended.

So grateful to have Mark as my son's music teacher. Over the past three years, Mark has been supportive of my son's interest to explore multiple instruments under his instruction (drums, piano, guitar, bass, music theory, and composition) while still gently nudging him to push himself beyond his comfort zone and try new things. Mark's strategy of getting his students into a band as quickly as possible is a huge benefit to creating accountability and confidence in his students. Five stars are not enough for Mark.

My son has been a student for over 2 years now. He loves playing the guitar and has a great time with his band members, and this is because of Mark's teaching style and skills. Mark has a relaxed style and as a result, the kids learn to play while also having fun. My son has learned a great deal from Mark and I am happy that this is a skill that he can use lifelong!
