We have lessons for almost every instrument, including woodwinds (flute, clarinet, oboe, saxophone) brass-winds (trumpet, horn, trombone, euphonium, tuba), and piano, guitar, drums, and voice. We offer half hour, forty-five minute, and hour lessons during all hours the store is open. Availability for each instrument varies.

When you purchase Assessment Program Lessons, you will receive more than just lessons with our outstanding faculty. You or your child will be encouraged to reflect on the learning happening in lessons and at home. This occurs through interviews designed to get students to think critically and with as much complexity as possible, and through daily practice logs provided by us.

Heidi Aispuro

Trombone, Euphonium, Tuba

Heidi began to play the tuba and trombone; the latter of which would become her main focus of study. At the age of 18, playing only 6 months, Heidi became the principal trombonist in Portland’s prestigious youth orchestra, the Portland Youth Philharmonic, under the direction of Mei-Ann Chen. She attended Mt. Hood Community College for two years, playing in their renowned big band in New York City and Taipei, Taiwan.

Aaron Chase

Guitar

After graduating with a degree in Songwriting and Guitar Performance, the multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter began performing his original music around Boston. His music has an eclectic flavor with hints of dance, soul, reggae, hard rock, latin, jazz and funk within his guitar and vocal based pop/rock. With a passion for improvisation, no two shows are the same.

Samantha Dearborn

Voice

Soprano Samantha Dearborn has performed on stages in the U.S. and in Europe, presenting recitals and appearing as featured and guestsoloist in both concert and recital repertoire. Her operatic performances have included Phyllis in Gilbert & Sullivan’s Iolanthe and scenes from Menotti’s The Medium, in which she sang the role of Monica. A proponent of contemporary classical music, Ms. Dearborn has premiered works by current composers in Ohio and Boston.

Nick Dinnerstein

Cello

Boston-based cellist, Nick Dinnerstein, works in a wide variety of musical styles and settings. As a recitalist, he has performed solo and chamber music throughout the New England area and in Thailand. He has also participated in Greensboro Music Festival and the Thailand International Composition Festival.
