The instructors are great. They work with all ages from babies (with parents) to adults. There are classes for many different instruments. If you sign up for personal lessons, they run sessions each season which also includes some type of performance you will be able to perform at. During the time of COVID-19, they have shifted to the option to do remote lessons over Zoom. They have scholarships to provide opportunities to those who would not otherwise have the ability to pay.

Pretty good relations with the choir director ( Nathan ) However, one of the guitar directors, who goes by the name of carlos s, scammed me and faked a lesson, telling me that I wasnt going to have guitar class on a friday, but when my dad showed up that day, he ( Carlos ) was asking for me whilst I stayed home, thinking I had the day off since he told me about it.
Me and my father decided to quit the guitar music ever since. We never filed a complaint to the desk worker, and quite frankly, I dont want to bother Be careful future musical students about this place!

My daughter was denied an opportunity to compete for a scholarship to study music at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music. She studied at the Conservatory from 2014-2016. Her 2017 application was denied. She obtained a scholarship application from their website and had a letter of recommendation from her award-winning school choir director. Scholarships, I was told, are only for new or existing students and my daughter was neither.
We were invited to apply for financial aid which has the exact same status requirements, new or existing student, but the Conservatory would "bend the rules" for financial aid but not for a chance for a full scholarship. In 2015, my daughter competed and won both a Presidential Scholarship as well as a first-place scholarship in her age level. She performed for stakeholders and community members with these titles.
I want my daughter and other students to be allowed to pay and participate in the scholarship process. It is not fair to exclude students just because you want to. The Wisconsin Conservatory of Music has numerous funding sources that give money so students, like my daughter, can have music education. Businesses don't get to operate in the public, accept foundation money, acquire donations, accept grants and the discriminatively decide to do business with only the families they like.

The Conservatory is not only the largest private musical institution in Wisconsin, but it's legendary. My aunt received a certificate as a piano teacher there over 80 years ago, and our daughter studied both piano and flute there with memorable teachers over 25 years ago. Such an institution needs to have reviews that appreciate its broader history and its contributions to the Milwaukee cultural scene. While practical minor snafus should be corrected, the pride that Milwaukee has in this place should be celebrated.

The Conservatory offers one-on-one lessons, classes and performances. There is almost always something going on on the premises. They have a giant roster of teachers in every aspect of music you could hope for. You can learn the classics, like piano or violin, but their staff can also teach you the harp, the euphonium and flamenco guitar. There are early childhood and children's classes. Chances are if it comes to learning music in Milwaukee, they can help you. If you're a music fan in Milwaukee, you absolutely have to check out what the Conservatory is doing.
