Powell Academy Of Music

I have been taking piano lessons at the school for about a year now. Before this, I had taken lessons for about eight years. I felt that I was at a stand still in my playing and decided to come here. My teacher has taught me so much about piano and technique and has made me aware of things I can do to improve my playing. My teacher opened me up to new genres of music and has helped me to perform the songs at the best of my ability. I am thankful for the truly great instruction I have received at the Powell Academy of Music

My son loves learning at Powell Academy of Music! He looks forward to going to his lessons every week! The staff is professional and very accommodating, Mr. Ike is an amazing instructor, He is always friendly and upbeat. He comes out after every lesson and gives me an update on my son's lesson. He provides me with resources to better help my son practice at home. I could not have made a better choice for my son's music instruction!

My daughter enjoys going to her lessons. Her teacher is great with her and I think she's learning at a good pace. Great school with experienced teachers.

Mr. Ike Wade has been our daughter's piano teacher for over a year now at Powell Academy of Music. He connects with kids so well that she waits for his class. She has made tremendous progress with him. Mr. Ike has perfect balance of fun and discipline in keeping her interest on this activity.

I have been taking online saxophone and clarinet lessons for about 2 years, and I have enjoyed just being able to play when not in in-person school. My teacher, Amy, has been helping me with my band music because the band music we were working on was pretty challenging. She has been really flexible with all of the technological issues that occurred and she is really just a wonderful teacher. I am definitely going to continue my lessons on clarinet and saxophone in the future because they are always so much fun and I will definitely need help later in band.

My teacher is Tracy and she is wonderful! As an adult learner of the violin, I was very nervous about taking music lessons. Tracy is not only patient with me but she also helps instill confidence. I am grateful for her ability to teach first timers like me. Thanks PAM for having such fantastic staff like Tracy!

I decided to re-learn my clarinet. I still have the clarinet I played in high school and college and now that I'm retired, I have time to learn and practice. I take my lessons at Powell Academy of Music and have been so delighted. My teacher, Amy, is great at working with an adult learner. I'm learning so much and so many new things I didn't learn the first time I took lessons with my clarinet back in the day! The business side is easy to work with and is efficient. I'm so happy I found Powell Academy of Music and Amy C.!

My son has been attending Powell Music Academy for almost a year now and he absolutely loves it! We first started through zoom classes and then transitioned into in-person classes and his violin teacher, Helen, has been such a great teacher. She is patient, easy going, and directs our son's attention back well and focus back well to his violin. He is 6 years old so we appreciate her so much in having these qualities.

Any time we've ever needed to reschedule or cancel a class, they have been super helpful in scheduling makeup days. Thankful to this facility and what they've done for our son.

The staff is easy to work with, and the instructor, Yuri, who gave my daughter (who's six and never played before) piano lessons was sweet and patient with her.

My daughter takes vocal lessons from Meg at the Powell Academy of Music. I appreciated the trial lesson to ensure my daughter was matched well with her instructor! It has been a wonderful learning experience and I have appreciated the flexibility offered to the students during the COVID pandemic. Our son isn't a big sports kid so we were looking for something that would challenge him to work toward achieving goals (and give a little break on video games.) Drums are now his thing thanks to the guidance of his instructor John. We appreciate that the instruction at Powell Music Academy is both challenging and encouraging. We are big enough fans of the program that we (somewhat reluctantly) purchased a full drum kit for our home. Apologies to the neighbors.

We started beginning piano lessons over 2 years ago for my 11 year old. The whole experience has been so professional from the start. He had a wonderful teacher for almost a year and then when that teacher moved we were so fortunate to be paired with Ike. The staff took the time to match my son with someone that would transition well from his last teacher.

My son has been taking piano lessons at Powell Academy of Music(PAM) for over three years now, and It has been such a pleasant experience. PAM Staff is very professional, and the learning environment is fantastic. Periodic recitals, consistent feedback, 100 mins club, and other programs encourage kids to practice their lessons at home. We joined Powell Academy of music with Mr. Bryan when my son was five years old. Mr. Bryan is truly a remarkable teacher; he sees what's unique about our son and has masterfully nurtured his talent using a creative and intuitive approach.

He is very patient and makes each lesson lots of fun. My son looks forward to his lesson each week and has blossomed under Mr. Bryan's instruction. In Powell Academy of Music, my son has not only learned to play the piano but has also developed a great appreciation for music while having a good time. I can not say enough good things about Powell Academy of Music, Office Staff, and Mr. Bryan, they are simply amazing! Even the virtual lessons didn't bring the quality down, and we are getting the same experience as in-person classes.

Chad and office staff are extremely friendly, approachable, and helpful. My kids love their instructors, who are all highly qualified, knowledgeable, and very supportive. My kids have made significant improvement and progress since they started taking lessons here.
