If you are serious about guitar...
Pete Walrath Guitar Instruction I have taught hundreds of kids and adults to play the guitar since 1994. I take great pride in making sure each student receives the training necessary to become self-sufficient and able to grow on the instrument for the rest of their lives. My students generally become good improvisers, knowledgeable of music theory and very good guitar player.

I teach many different styles including jazz, rock, pop, latin, funk, blues, folk to name a few. I really look forward to working with you!

I have had great success taking students from their very first lesson all the way through to admission to prestigious music programs such as Berklee College of Music and the University of Miami. I fully understand that each student has their own interests, their own best way of learning, and individual aspirations for the future. Keeping this in mind I can ensure that a student gets the most out of their studies while keeping their interest at a maximum level.

Great instruction and virtual classes too! I've had years of instruction here and would not be the player I am today without Pete. He's really an inspiring teacher. 5 stars and my full recommendation!

I was introduced to Pete Walrath through a friend a couple of years ago and have been taking guitar lessons with him for about 18 months. I only great things to say, as he is my third teacher since I started playing ten years ago and we have gotten more done in a year and a half than I was able to accomplish in the years prior. Pete just has a real easy going way about him, but you can tell he is very serious about what he does.

He has helped me to be able to improvise, which was always something I struggled with. Recently my son James began studying with Pete as well, he is ten years old and really looks forward to Pete coming to the house!
