Weekly private 30-minute, 45-minute, and 60-minute lessons are offered to students ages 5 to adults, beginning through early advanced levels. My passion is music education. I have a B.A. in Music Education and 18 years of teaching experience. Everyone can learn!Students will be introduced to a variety of skills and experiences in musicality, technique, theory, performance and music history - I call it "Infusing Music" - which can remain a lifelong source of personal enrichment and enjoyment.

Both my son and daughter love playing piano thanks to their teacher, Charlie Lumpkins, at IMS! He makes it fun for them by finding songs that interest them, and this motivates them to practice and perfect their pieces. They are proud of the skills they are learning and are given numerous opportunities each year to perform them in front of an audience. We love being part of the IMS community!

Teaching at Infusing Music Studios was a very pleasant and professional experience. The rules were always clear and of great help for everyone working there. Working atmosphere was always nice, and sharing recitals with other teachers was very good for students as well! I strongly recommend to music teachers seeking for a reliable place to teach private lessons.

Working as a piano instructor at Infusing Music Studios these past few years has been an absolute delight! Studio owner Clara McDonald is a wonderful person to work with and goes above and beyond in offering opportunities for students (and teachers) to perform at coffee shop nights, recitals, and, most recently, an outdoor summer concert. The studio itself is situated in an adorable building, equipped with wonderful pianos (or space for other instruments!) and a charmingly cozy lobby for students and parents to wait in (with wi-fi). I truly can't recommend studying, or teaching, here enough!

We were fortunate to have Mr. Lumpkins as our two small children's piano teacher for more than 1.5 years He was the ideal teacher for our active children. All the attributes we were looking for in a teacher we found in Mr. Lumpkins. Our children made tremendous progress under his guidance. He was accommodating and most agreeable in working with us.
His teaching was outstanding and had great patience in working with children. Along with unsurpassed command of the arts, add in exceptional enthusiasm and hard work ethic, there is no other teacher to compete with Mr. Lumpkins. We are staying with him for the next 10 years. Please note we were willing to drive 1.5 hours one way to meet him twice monthly. Thank you for teaching the next generation the beauty and importance of classical music.
