SoundLife Music Lessons

I'll start off by confessing that I'm a full-grown adult taking beginning bass lessons at SoundLife. I'm a total beginner, and I am fully comfortable with a bunch of kids outperforming me.;) But I was looking for a school or instructor that would incorporate performance (eventually), as that seems like a healthy motivator. I'm glad that I picked SoundLife because I'm really enjoying my lessons and getting a lot out of them.

My instructor, Blake, is very knowledgeable, patient, and talented, and he gives me direction in bite-sized, manageable steps that make me feel like I'm getting somewhere instead of feeling overwhelmed and hopeless. Plus he's great at picking up bass riffs from songs that I bring in and teaching them to me effortlessly. I'm a few months in, and I look forward to seeing how much better I'll be in a few months more. I highly recommend.

We absolutely love everything about our experiences with SoundLife. Amazing! From my initial contact with Chris & Mike, to the way they keep young musicians engaged, to our fabulous instructor Anna. We haven't been with SoundLife long and I've already seen my 8 yr old make leaps and bounds in his musical ability and creativity.

Thanks to my kids wonderful music teacher at SoundLife, Blake, my kids' confidence in their ability to play guitar and bass have gone up. Blake has been super patient, flexible, and committed to helping my son and daughter grow their love of music. Even more remarkable is that it's been all remote these past 20 months. I highly recommend SoundLife Lessons!

Love the instructors here! They really know how get my kids excited about playing music and they actually look forward to their lessons. My daughter who has been taking guitar lessons for a few years switched to Chris during the start of Covid and it's been a blessing. Her guitar playing has improved tremendously and she feels more confident in her abilities.

As a result I have recently enrolled her sister for virtual drum lessons. Bringing music into the house during these difficult times seems to be a great stress relieving activity for the kids. I would highly recommend them!

Enrique is a wonderful teacher! My son met with teachers from two other music schools and he felt that Enrique was the only teacher who was passionate and engaging. He continues to bring that passion and vast knowledge to every lesson!

Our son has had a handful of guitar teachers over the years and after the first lesson his response was "That was the best guitar lesson I have ever had!" Chris comes each week with great enthusiasm and knows how to connect with my son to keep him engaged and teaches some of the theory, style and about core jazz guitar artists. Chris is helping him to prepare for his high school jazz band audition and couldn't ask for a better experience!

Chris Vasquez is an amazing and encouraging guitar teacher! My 13-year-old son really loves his lessons, and I am really proud of how much he has progressed with Chris's help. Very, very satisfied! Highly recommended.

When it comes to guitar instructors, there is no one better than Chris at SoundLife! In two short months, my son is playing the Beatles, Buddy Holly, and next he's tackling Brian May! Chris is kind, patient, and lets his students choose the music they want to play. He even comes to our house! My son is happy and so am I! I would give SoundLife 6 Stars, but there are only5!

Christa's piano lessons continue to be a highlight of our kids' week and we're so glad she and SoundLife are involved in their music education. Christa is knowledgeable about piano, guitar and singing, and she's patient yet firm with our kids who sometimes (ha! all the time) don't practice as much as they should. She likes to challenge our kids with diversions from standard piano books to figuring out popular songs by ear and singing harmonies. We can't recommend Christa and SoundLife enough!
