Piano and Guitar Lessons offered in Topeka and Lawrence, KS areas. Age 5 for beginning pianist, age 7 for beginning guitarist helps as different levels of growth impact playing a musical instrument. If you would like references, I can provide them on request.

I can recommend books or we can use the one you already have. I do recommend keeping a music journal and manuscript paper for students over age of 7. Rhythm skills, tone skills, techniques are most encouraged. I also teach how to read music notation, how to tune a guitar, tips for caring for an acoustic piano and guitar (electric & acoustic). Keyboards and electric guitars are welcome.

I help acquaint you with the fret board and fingering styles. I can help you develop listening skills as you play. I am classically trained and have a Music Education degree from the University of Kansas. Calling or texting me is generally the fastest way to get a hold of me.
