Pierre is a pianist, songwriter, producer, and guitarist with over 15 years experience in music performance, composition, and production with a BA from Southern Methodist University. He currently resides in Irving and Lewisville, TX where he teaches private piano lessons.Over the course of 15 years, he has played in bands including Big Red Rooster, a Dallas-based rock/pop group, who has featured artist work with Grammy Winning Producers Play N Skillz and Akon.Pierre pursues his passion by teaching piano, producing jingles, and developing & producing artists, including Jay Fresh, 5 Star, Alex Nackman, and more.
He is excited to share his love of music with students and takes the time to ensure they are comfortable with their lesson plan and that parents are happy with the progress their child is making. His piano instruction emphasizes technique, theory, and sight reading, all of which are customized for each student.

My 3 year old daughter loves the classes and Pierre is an extremely dedicated and patient teacher. I remember the 1st day I brought her to see Pierre; she has slight development delays and refused to play. Pierre was very patient and was able to win her over: Within a couple of weeks, she started showing a lot of enthusiasm for piano and her lessons. Pierre takes a very methodical approach even with young students which works very well as he makes it fun also.

Pierre is an amazing teacher. He is very ambitious in making sure his students know everything about piano. For the short time Pierre has worked with my two boys (ages 6 and 7) they have really excelled. Pierre is very down to earth and is very passionate about his work. I would recommend Pierre to anybody of any age looking for lessons; he goes above and beyond to make sure his students continue to have passion for music.

Pierre is an excellent music / piano teacher. He has a well-designed syllabus and customizes it to include your own goals. He's very patient and shares with you all the music theory and background you need to get the most from the class. You can tell he is passionate about music and teaching. For me, in almost one year taking piano lessons with Pierre, it has been an overall great experience and I'm certainly enjoying the process of learning to play the piano.

My daughter has been going to Mr. Pierre for 6 months. She really love to sing and wanted to learn guitar. I think she is with the right teacher. Mr. Pierre has been great teacher for her. He teaches with passion and he has great knowledge for what he does. He's very professional. We are lucky to have him as right guidance to my daughter.

Pierre is so talented and such a patient teacher. He immediately connected with our son and makes learning piano something he really loves vs "a lesson". Pierre customizes learning based on the individual. No matter the age I've seen at his studio from young child to adult they are smiling and energized! We are very happy to have our son learning from Pierre.

My son has been going for piano lessons with Mr Pierre for more than 2 years now. I tried 4 teachers before deciding to go with Mr Pierre. He is a perfect teacher for teaching music. He has the knowledge to teach the student until whatever level he can go, more than that he knows how to keep the kid interested in this field while giving them the right feedback to make progress, the things he explains the kid are so subtle it shows his interest in the student.
All the teachers I tried can play piano very well but the other things were missing in their style, my son never complains about stopping piano now(Thanks to Mr Pierre!). Lastly, he teaches not just from the book but if my son wants to learn a new popular song he makes simple musical notes for him and helps him learn it. This is one of his many ways to keep the kid love music.

Pierre is a wonderful piano teacher for my daughter(5 years old). He has been teaching her for less than a year and she LOVES it! She is excited to go each week! He has so much patience and is very encouraging. The recital that he plans for all the kids each year is wonderful. I love how he lets the kids pick their pieces as they get older, that really keeps my daughter engaged knowing she will some play some of her favorite songs.

Pierre has been teaching both my kids for 4 years now. I cannot say enough about him. He is not the stereotypical piano teacher. He is young, hip, and fun! He is a FANTASTIC teacher! He engages with them and gets them super excited about playing an instrument. He doesn't just have them play the boring piano books, but makes it fun by teaching them current songs on the radio.
He allows them to express themselves by singing with the piano as well. We could not have found a better teacher and hope he is here to stay until my kids graduate high school! I would highly recommend Pierre to anyone!

We are so fortunate to have found Mr. Pierre as the music teacher for our kids. He is very knowledgeable in the Piano world and the best thing about him is he has tremendous amount of patience with kids. My 6 yr old son started his piano lessons about an year ago with Mr. Pierre and has come a long way already. We were wondering if our 4yr old would be able to start lessons this early but Mr. Pierre has been able to get him focused for the duration of the class and we were pleasantly surprised how he manages to do so with such ease. I am glad we found such a good teacher close to our house and hope to continue with him for a very long time.

My daughter has been taking piano lessons with Pierre Cohen for about a year now. She just had a recital a couple of weeks ago and she did really well. Pierre has been great with my daughter. He is very knowledgeable with instruments and music. Usually my daughter gets burnt out after about 6 months, but she really likes piano and wants to continue forever as she says. This tells me that Pierre is doing a wonderful job. I would definitely recommend him for piano lessons.

My kids have been learning with Pierre for a little over 2 years. They were learning piano at their school but were not very enthusiastic about it. When they started their lessons with Pierre, they really started enjoying it. I truly believe that is solely because Pierre makes it fun and comfortable for them. They want to learn for him and that is a true gift! They have progressed very quickly and have enthusiasm for it. We highly recommend Pierre to everyone!
