My daughters would never practice for other teachers. Dorane was able to motivate them to spend time at the keyboard each day. It made such a difference in their enjoyment and growth.

Dorane is an excellent piano teacher. I started out as a beginner and took lessons with her for over two years. She was always encouraging, supportive and most important, patient, allowing me to develop at my own rate of speed.

Dorane has been a complete "game-changer" for my daughter's piano practice! We were on the brink of quitting piano until we found Dorane and now my daughter is loving piano again, learning advanced pieces -- and she loves Dorane! My daughter started at age 5 and has been playing for 6 years now. She always loved piano until we moved, switched teachers, and she reached a more challenging skill level.

We tried several teachers and schools in Denver, including in-home teachers. For a year and a half, most lessons ended in tears and home practice was a battle. She begged to quit but we pleaded with her: "Just finish out the session we paid for; just give this new teacher a chance." It was an ordeal for all of us. Then a friend recommended Dorane.

And now the clouds have parted and the sun is shining again! Sounds corny but it's true! Frankly, Dorane is a talented teacher! She has clever ways of helping kids learn -- not just how to play the notes but how to really understand the piece of music. For the first time, my daughter is learning the importance of tempo, timing, dynamic range, playing loud vs soft notes.

She's learning how to be expressive with her music! Previously it always sounded flat and the timing was off. Dorane quickly fixed all that! Most importantly, Dorane has a subtle way of correcting errors and encouraging my daughter to achieve her full potential. She has a warm, friendly, supportive personality while holding kids to her high standards.

My daughter clearly wants to please her and thus, works hard for Dorane and works hard for herself. We were very impressed by all the students at the year-end recital, from little tots to the teenagers. We're looking forward to some of the advanced opportunities Dorane offers her students such as participating in the international Guild competition at the Broadmoor. I highly recommend Dorane. She is a talented teacher and a delightful person. We are so happy to have found her!

My child (8 YO) has been taking lessons here for over a year and she loves it. We started taking her there just for fun/exploration and she's blossomed into a fantastic pianist.

My daughter has attended Center for Musical Creativity for almost a year now and absolutely loves it! The kid's group lessons are fun, engaging and she has made great friends along the way! Dorane is a wonderful, patient, talented teacher. I am an adult learner with many competing activities in my life and don't practice as much as I could/should/would like. Dorane continues to be encouraging and makes each lesson fun and valuable. I am constantly impressed with her dedication to her art and ability to inspire and engage. I look forward to my next session.

Our daughter has very much enjoyed her lessons here. It's still very early in her piano career however Dorane has kept her interested and enthusiastic. She enjoys practicing at home and is very proud of her accomplishments on the piano.
