I offer beginning to advanced snare drum, drum set and band percussion lessons in my studio four days a week Monday thru Thursday. I am also available for drum clinics and master classes at schools, workshops, and other events.

Jim taught my daughter for 3 years. She has excelled in her drum skills, played on the advanced drumline as an 8th grader with the high school band, and was accepted into the highly competitive Connections Visual and Performing Arts Academy with her drum audition in 7th grade. Jim truly cares for his students and their well being. An instructor of his kind in any craft/subject is a rare thing.

Well, long story short....I started taking lessons at the age of 51. A birthday gift from my husband with him thinking that 3 lessons would be enough.....Ha! I've enjoyed it so much that 7 years, 2 drum sets, 2 cymbal sets later and many broken drum sticks...I LOVE PLAYING THE DRUMS!!!! And I am forever greatful to Jim for teaching me, encouraging me, and being patient with me. Please be encouraged to learn to play the drums, and for Heaven sake let Jim teach you :)

Jim was an amazing drum instructor. He was able to work with me and my schedule. He started building my skills and then progressed as I was ready. We had so much fun and I learned a ton in such a short period of time. Not only did I learn how to drum, he taught me how to read sheet music, different techniques, styles, terminology, advice on drum kits, the history of drumming..........
I was not expecting this when I first started and loved every minute of it. I also was able to see Jim outside of my lessons at a few of his gigs drumming it up and impressed is an understatement!!!!
