The teachers at this school have such an amazing passion for music and teaching! There's no better place to enroll your child. Even through COVID they have ensured that lessons where still available virtually. We are grateful to have them!

If you live in the Lamorinda area and you are a musician you don't need an introduction to BSM. But I am writing this review thinking of parents of aspiring musicians. Or adults looking to learn music. Bradley School of Music is a terrific school for two reasons: the quality of the instructors (you can check their caliber in their web-page) and the approach: live playing. Students get to play for other students and family and friends frequently.

And they get to play with the teachers, who are session-musician, pro level. That's such a boost. The School is structured around the concept of music as a community activity. Their open-mics are a gift to the community. I have had such wonderful times playing at those with family and friends. My son started playing music here. In six months he went from zero into playing in all sorts of bands, including jazz, in High School. That says it all. Sarah, Patrick and crew are doing an amazing job here.

I studied with Patrick Bradley for two years and he taught me everything about music. He is a great instructor and really cares about your progress as a musician. There are jam sessions every month which are really fun to play at and watch, and all of the instructors there are great. Patrick prepared me for my audition to Berklee College of Music in Boston and now I am a full time student there.

Patrick Bradley is a guitar instructor. I've taken lessons from many different teachers, and he's one of the best. He's a Berklee School Grad, which is no small feat. He can teach you how to read music, rhythm, improvisation & soloing, performing and he can teach any style; Jazz, Blues, Rock, Classical, fingerstyle, you name it.
