Whether you are an experienced performer or a beginning student; whether you love opera, musical theatre, or jazz; if you want to become a better singer at church, or if you need help preparing for an audition, I can train you to be the best at what you do! I currently have openings for new students. I currently teach voice lessons in two locations: Arthur's Music Store and The Arts Center at Garfield Park. Arthur's Music Store is located in historic Fountain Square, 1-1/2 miles southeast of Downtown Indy.

Kathy Kilgo

Kathy Kilgo has always had a passion for music and the voice. This along with the education and experience she has acquired has given her the desire to perform and teach this beautiful art form. A native of Little Rock, Arkansas, Kathy is a well-trained vocal artist who has been teaching and performing music for over 15 years.

Arts Adventure Day 2012

8/25/2012 - Today was Arts Adventure Day at the Garfield Park Arts Center (GPAC). It was an open house featuring many of the instructors who teach arts classes in our facility. Visitors were invited to partake in several demonstrations such as printmaking, watercolors, ceramics, theatre games, and more.

I have known and trained with Kathy for a few years now. I can say without hesitation that she has helped me tremendously in both the areas of vocal quality enhancement as well as confidence for performance. She also quickly recognized areas of improvement needed for best song delivery and provided exercises to see them developed. Improving areas of weakness is the sign of an excellent vocal coach. Kathy is an amazing voice instructor. She taught me all the foundational skills I needed to improve my singing and even helped me apply it to contemporary songs and artists. She is so full of life and kind and funny and I looked forward to every lesson. From her lessons I learned not only how to improve my singing, but specific warm ups that work for me, and knowledge of the anatomy of singing and how my body works while I sing. I can't say enough. I highly recommend her!
