Little Rock Jams Our mission is to create a learning environment that will help all students, regardless of age or playing level, reach their musical goals! In addition to your lessons, Little Rock Jams offers regular jam sessions and workshops to enhance your learning experience and to provide you with opportunities to play with other musicians.

Students meet weekly for a one-on-one lesson with their instructor. After your first lesson, your instructor will develop a learning path for you based on your musical goals and interests. Instructors stress music theory, technique, songwriting, creativity, transcribing and ear training to help develop your skills as a musician.

Jason Priest
Guitar/Bass Instructor
Jason's first experience playing the guitar was with his father's old acoustic guitar at the age of seven. While his rendition of "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" did not top the pop charts , this experience eventually led to his picking up the instrument for serious study at the age of 15.
Brian Goins
Guitar/Bass Instructor
Brian has been playing for 12 years, and like most musicians his age, he started out playing 1980's rock and metal. Brian was self-taught until 1997 when he attended the Berklee College of Music summer program. Continuing his music education, Brian is currently a senior at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, working towards the completion of his Bachelor of Arts degree, with an emphasis in jazz guitar performance.
David Dunavant
Creative Director / Guitar Instructor
David grew up in Little Rock and started playing guitar at the age of thirteen. Primarily playing rock guitar and fingerstyle acoustic guitar, David played and performed with a local, all original rock group called the Joe Mansur Band

I always wanted to play the guitar but at 38, I thought it was too late for me to learn. But Jason's encouragement and instruction in 6 months have taken me from not knowing how to hold the guitar correctly to playing songs and really enjoying the entire experience - including practicing! The jam sessions are fantastic and allow for an opportunity to play with really experienced musicians. It's not too late! If you've always wanted to play, LR Jams is the place to go.

The hours and costs are clear and consistent. The location is easy to get to, and near other stores you can visit while the kid does lessons (or you can relax in the waiting area, which is very nice). No one is pushing merchandise at you (no store here at all!). I can't say enough about Jason as an instructor. My son is 13 and Jason does a fantastic job of motivating, encouraging, and keeping him focused. He is great at teaching on his level and yet challenging him appropriately
