Best place in KC for all your drumming/percussion needs and if they don't have it they'll order it for you. All staff is super helpful/knowledgeable and they have a large selection of snares, cymbals, shell and complete kits!

Explorer's is the spot for drums and percussion in Missouri. Great customer service and a massive selection. I just bought a Mapex Armory kit and I'm super satisfied. I will definitely return and tell all the drummers I know to make the drive to Explorers Percussion!

I ordered a specific bell for my son-in-law but was told immediately that it was temporarily out of stock. Lorene communicated with me kindly and quickly about the status of the order and tracked it from the manufacturer. It arrived on time (despite my concerns). Hats off to Lorene for her amazing help and great communication. I gave my son-in-law the company's information for his future needs. Thank you!

I love this place. I only recently started playing drums, hand drums in particular, and really enjoy their selection of African drums and all their percussion peripherals. They have been very accommodating to my lack of knowledge on drums and have been very helpful. I got the two larger drums there. A djembe and a bougarabou. Couldn't be happier with them.

This is the place to be for all your percussion needs. Great selection, great prices, great atmosphere. Lots of knowledgeable help on hand, hundreds of brands and choices, and sick beats by enthusiasts ready to talk shop regardless of your experience. They also have lessons!

Owners are super friendly, very helpful/knowledgeable and drums at a fair price. Huge inventory of everything percussion and best of all they rewrap drum shells! My vintage go to gurus! I prefer this place for those simple facts! Why big box when you should be & can be supporting local?

My wife used to take drum lessons here in the eighties, I think she met the drummer for Dokken, or Cinderella here. She has a picture of her, a cute little junior high rocker chick with some sleazy hair band drummer who was already feeling his fame slip from between his fingers. Good stuff. They hold drum workshops here all the time hosted by some pretty well known drummers. Which is cool I guess.
