Funky Munky Music offers individual instruction music lessons for an incredible variety of musical instruments: guitar, drums and percussion, bass, piano, keyboard, voice, trumpet, trombone, tuba, piccolo, flute, clarinet, saxophone, oboe, double bass, cello, viola, violin, banjo, harmonica, mandolin, and ukulele.

Lessons are weekly, one-on-one sessions, lasting either 30 minutes or 60 minutes. There is no age limit, but our general recommendations are the ability to count to 4, and the ability to sit relatively still for 30 minutes. This usually is possible around the age of 5. Tuition is 75 dollars per month for a 30 minute session once per week, and 150 dollars per month for a 60 minute session once per week.

Bill Royce

Bill is originally from Oklahoma City, moved to Kansas at age 5 and has been a musician since age 9. He started playing guitar professionally in 1981 and toured relentlessly throughout the eighties and nineties chalking up 300 dates a year in 1988 and 1990.

Go-Go Ray

Go-Go Ray is one of the most well-known professional drum / percussion instructors and performers in the Kansas City Area. He has been drumming since 1977, gigging since 1987, and teaching since 1997.

Larry has been teaching lessons professionally since 1989. He has taught at Big Dude's Music City, Raymore Music, Music Stand, Music Gallery, and since 2008 at Funky Munky Music.

Janet loves music and loves teaching music! She is a true music professional! Janet has played piano for over 40 years, and has been playing the flute for nearly 30!
