Lessons emphasize basic note reading, music theory and guitar technique while playing classical guitar music from all over the world. Each student should have their own nylon string classical guitar. Lessons meet once a week, and are either 45 minutes or 60 minutes in length. Payment is due at the beginning of each lesson.

I am constantly seeking new ways to enrich each student's learning experience, especially through new repertoire. I have an extensive music library of classical guitar music that I share with my students, with a wealth of repertoire ranging from the Renaissance and Baroque up to today as well as arrangements of Spanish, South American, and jazz standards.

For over 40 years, I have enjoyed the opportunity to share my teaching experience with a wide range of students. I began my career in music over 50 years ago playing steel string guitar. However, I was soon introduced to the sound and technique of the classical guitar, and it quickly became my sole focus. As opposed to steel string guitar, which is played with a pick, classical guitar is played fingerstyle on nylon strings.
