Our private guitar lessons will provide a fun introduction to the guitar while laying a foundation of solid musicianship. Not only will students learn proper guitar technique and performance practice, but they will also develop a broad range of musical skills and a basic understanding of music theory. At Hoffman Academy, you can learn effective and healthy techniques for beautiful singing with an experienced teacher who will help develop your voice to its fullest potential. Our teachers use proven techniques and vocal exercises to help develop a free, resonant, and beautiful singing tone. In combination with teacher-selected repertoire chosen for optimal vocal development, students are allowed to pursue the styles of music they enjoy, whether it be classical, folk, pop, or Broadway musicals.

Began playing the piano at age 6. In high school, he studied with Alfred Mouledous, pianist for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. At Brigham Young University, Mr. Hoffman continued his musical training, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Music in 2000 (emphasis in Voice and Piano), and a Master of Music degree in 2005.

If you are looking for an environment that teaches music and encourages artistry, I highly recommend the Hoffman Academy. My daughter has been taking piano lessons at the academy since 2012 and we have been so impressed with their talented instructors and friendly staff. We couldn't be happier with her musical journey.

Beautiful music experience for children of any age! Hoffman Academy has provided both of my children with exceptional teachers and instruction for years of piano lessons. Amazing staff and weekly lessons that are completely focused around the child's musical interest and goals to advance at any level. I would highly recommend Hoffman Academy to anyone!

Hoffman Academy is a wonderful place for students and their families. I've loved all my teachers over the years. Incredibly talented professionals make the learning process fun and stimulating. My daughter started out watching the free online videos that Mr. Hoffman posted on youtube, and we realized the magic in his method when she persisted playing those on her keyboard for months. We started sending our daughter to Hoffman Academy for semi-private partner lessons a few years ago and we couldn't be more thrilled. She goes to the class excited, enjoys practicing and has blossomed into a passionate young learner. What more could a parent ask for? She is very fond of her teacher Ms. Elizabeth Kohl. I highly recommend Hoffman Academy.

Two of my children and my husband have been taking piano lessons at the Hoffman Academy for a year. We've been extremely impressed by the professionalism of the staff and the progress that has been made in such a short amount of time. My daughter didn't want anything to do with having a man teacher but I made her interview with Joseph anyway. He was our first interview and she got in the van and said "Mom he's the teacher" We interviewed 4 other women teachers and each time she said "NO".
He's passionate about instilling the love of music to everyone he meets. And he always makes us feel comfortable. My husband has been taking lessons with Kim for a term and he said she's great also! I don't know a whole lot about the other teachers but I know that if Joseph hires someone they must be good. I trust his judgement. If you want your child to love music this is the place!
