We give you the option to take personal, private lessons from the comfort of your own home. We will come to your house in the Sarasota area with our house calls option, or, come to you live over the internet anywhere in the world via Skype.We seek to customize our guitar and bass lesson plans toward the students goals and styles, while still covering the foundational elements one needs to be a proficient player. Whether you want to learn the blues, or some face melting heavy metal guitar, we are willing to formulate the proper curriculum to instruct and lead you down the musical path that you desire.

The first meeting will provide an opportunity to discuss the students musical background, current goals, musical tastes, interests, and expectations of taking lessons. Demo of the Gretsch Power Jet. All volume knobs fully up the whole time. Vox Night Train amp with a 112 opened back cab mic'ed up. half way through I mess with the mud switch. It seems these pickups react horribly with that switch, I feel a tone knob would have been more beneficial.

I would highly recommend Guy with Guitar Lessons of Sarasota! I have an autistic daughter that wanted to learn how to play, and he was very nice and extremely patient with her, even when she got frustrated. He took the time to try to find different ways to teach her, and she ended up doing really well. Thank you!

I'm sure he is a great teacher per the reviews. It's why I chose him to help my son. My recommendation is if you have children that are interested to play, do not bring them here to learn. Our son didn't just excited about playing guitar overnight, it's something he has been wanting to do for a long time and I finally put him in a lesson. We were with Guy for ten minutes and he told us to come back in a few months to a year if he's still "interested." He was very concentrated so I'm not sure where that came from.
After leaving my son was upset and asked "why did we have to leave already?" I paid $30 for ten minutes and I feel like I just threw money away. Not to mention the guitar he recommended we buy, is too big. Disappointing.

Excellent guitar teacher! Guy is extremely knowledgeable and great at explaining concepts and music theory which at first seems overwhelmingly complex. I began taking lessons after a year of trying to teach myself and Guy immediately assessed my skill level and made me feel comfortable progressing much faster than I had by myself. All around an awesome person and great teacher.

Guy is a great teacher! I've taken lessons for a couple of months now, and I love it. He is super chill and flexible with scheduling- and you can tell just how much he loves music- its infectious I love his style of teaching- letting you learn what you want to play- and not just constantly sticking to drills and exercises- but mixing it up and going with how you learn. Ive been learning both Bass guitar and Electric guitar and his knowledge on both is very extensive All in all, an amazing teacher, and I couldnt reccomend enough

Excellent teacher. If you want to learn to play guitar, Guy is your man. No reason to look anywhere else. Guy is very encouraging and keeps the process entertaining. No stress and no pressure. Learn at your own pace and focus on your favorite type of music. No Yankee Doodle unless you're into that type of thing. Highly recommended.

Great teacher very reassuring, I am an intermediate player moving foward quickly thanks to Guy. I look foward to every lesson. If you want to learn how to play guitar the right way and have some fun doing it go to Guy, he is awesome. Makes learning fun and challenging, I look forward to every lesson and Guy really knows his stuff. I have been taking lessons with Guy for a little over two years and still enjoy learning thanks in part to Guy's style of teaching, I would call it a combination of challange, fun and reassurance.
