A private teacher can give you much more guidance than a band or orchestra conductor or even your school music teacher in a group lesson. Many of my students have gone on to receive scholarships to study music in college.

For over 25 years Amy Dinsmore has been active as a music teacher and performer. Her teaching style is disciplined and informative, but fun, encompassing every aspect of music. You will not only learn repertoire, but you will also learn the history behind the repertoire and the appropriate style in which to play it.

Amy Dinsmore

Amy Dinsmore has studied with Peter Bloom, Louis Speyer, Joel Timm, Fred Cohen and Joe Turner. She is a graduate of The Boston Conservatory where she earned her B.A. degree in Applied Oboe. Subsequently, she earned a Master of Arts Degree in Music from Smith College.
