Music Staff instructor, Roger James, serves the "South of the River" community in Lakeville MN, providing vocal and instumental instruction for all ages and ability levels.

Roger is a music instructor known as a very skilled motivator who has the ability to help students find the joy in being a musician. His diverse backround in the music business allows him to teach students how to become confident performing artists by reading music, understanding music theory, improvising, composing, playing by ear, and developing a commanding stage presence.The music instruction provided can include a wide array of styles including pop, jazz, classical, musical theater, country, rock etc.

Roger James is an educator, saxophonist, pianist, vocalist and composer residing in Minneapolis, Minnesota, U.S.A. His most recent album, Pink and Green Blues (available at The Electric Fetus, Mpls) is comprised of his original compositions featuring some of the finest musicians in the Upper Midwest jazz community.
