Vanderpost Voice Studio With my vocal technique you will learn how to sing in a natural speaking voice - a technique that will not only help your projection and increase your range, but also help you preserve the health of your vocal chords. I offer a classical foundation from which you can grow into any type of music you choose.

All levels of students are accepted including those who believe they "cannot" sing, those who wish to begin a wonderful and relaxing hobby, those who desire the self-satisfaction of learning to use the voice correctly, as well as professional singers who need special coaching.

Many vocal instructors prefer not to teach young people because the voice is tender and vulnerable. Yet Beverly Sills - a famous American opera singer - started at the age of three!Early training is important. The sooner your child starts taking voice lessons, the earlier he or she will develop the habit of correct breathing - a habit that will help your kid in many ways, even if he or she decides not to pursue a singing career:.

As a long time instrumentalist, I always wanted to be able to sing lead or support the band with harmonies. My lessons with James gave me a foundation for improving the power of my voice in a rock context while still singing safely. That's important if you are going to be gigging regularly.

I’ve been taking lessons from Mr. Vanderpost for six years, and I can't say enough good things about him. He brought out the best in my voice, and without him, I never would have considered pursuing a career in musical theater. He's a wonderful teacher, a great mentor, and a good friend.

James Vanderpost provided me with training that took me from two to a four 1/2 octave range. He is a master in the field and one who works patiently with his students to help them achieve their dreams.
