My mother bought two Groupons so my daughter could try out singing and piano lessons. The Groupon didn't specify only one Groupon per household. It was hell trying to get a refund for the other unused Groupon. My daughter had conflicting schedules and I found out she had to stay for practice at school. I must of missed the email with this info from her school so I called to see if we could reschedule but was told there's no make up if you don't call 24hours in advance.
My daughter seemed to be learning new concepts but I had to give it two stars for the lack of customer service & transparency as a business. Also, it was an extreme hassle getting to the Frisco location due to the construction. 30 minute classes gives moms like myself no time to run an errand while they are at practice. The prices without the Groupon is too high in my personal opinion. I definitely will NOT be back!

My daughter has been taking piano lessons here. I was worried because she has ADD but her instructor is very patient, flexible, and keeps her on task. She is learning so quickly and is always excited to go to class. Her teacher also listens to her likes and even is teaching her how to play a song she requested. Highly recommend Matt Burk Music Studio.

Matt Burk studio experience has been really amazing for me and my family. I would definitely recommend Brianna for piano and Jordan for any guitar lessons you may be planning to take. Their lessons are tailored to specific needs of my children and I love the part that my kids look forward to music lessons!

We discovered Matt Burk Music Studio from Groupon when I bought a 6wk trial guitar lesson for my 10yr old daughter in July 2020. She loved it from day one so we decided to continue and she already performed her 1st recital successfully. Connor is her instructor and he's very good at giving her step-by-step instructions that actually helps her learning faster.
He listens and explains well, whenever she's having a hard time with new chords and strumming patterns, etc. The front desk are very nice as well, they work with us when we need to change schedules.

My son has taken drums with Kenneth for 10 months with no prior music education. He's 9. Kenneth is GREAT with him. Very motivational, and gets him playing songs he likes, despite being new to drums. We've also signed him up for the "bands" group, so he's getting exposure to a full band, playing popular songs, and gets to record in the studio at the end. How sweet is that?! Matt Burk is a great place to learn. Highly recommend.

My kids started going here and showed great progress.so I decided a few years ago to take lessons along with them! I've been taking drum lessons with Kenneth for several years now and I've had one of the most amazing experiences growing as a musician. This place is awesome and full of talented and credentialed instructors!

Man. I don't even know where to begin. This place is so amazing and what makes it so amazing is the quality of instruction and the people in the building. Everyone working here is friendly and well-versed in their fields. The other students and families are incredibly friendly and nice and seem equally happy with the service as I am. Which is real friggin happy.
I take songwriting with Kaitlin and am beginning keys with Marcus! They are so amazing, so educated and professional, and have a real, tangible passion for what they're doing. Rock on--that's what I'll continue to do with my homies out here!

We have truly loved our time at Matt Burke Music Studio! The team is super friendly, very helpful & kind. I love the notes they would send home each week with my child so I knew exactly what he needed to practice as well as a positive note as to how practice went that day! Very professional & organized! I highly recommend them!

My daughter was a student when Matt first opened his studio, and absolutely loved it! She was about 8 or 9 years old, and he was very patient with her. I could tell that she was progressing. She loved the annual recitals as well. She was a student there gor about 6 years. The only critique I would give is that as the studio grew, her instructor changed each year in the last 3 years.
Again they were all very professional and nice and equally encouraging, but it broke the continuity - just a little. We loved it, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone!

I recommend Matt Burk Music Studio with no reservations. As a professional musician for Pete's Dueling Piano Bar in Addison, I wanted to improve my electric guitar skills (it's my fifth and weakest instrument). My instructor, Kent, is finishing a Bachelors degree from UNT in guitar, and he's an excellent instructor and performer. I highly recommend him.
As of this writing, the Frisco studio is offering a month of lessons for $70 instead of $135 through Yelp. Snap it up! Be aware that there is a $50 registration fee for new students, and you're required to show up at your lesson every week, so be sure you're willing to be a committed, dependable student before you sign up. You'll want to practice your instrument a bit every day, too, so you can get the most possible out of your instruction time.
The studio offers voice, guitar, bass, and drum lessons, and they may be thinking about beginning to offer violin if there's enough interest. You can also record a CD there for the reasonable rate of $60 per hour of studio time. This place is great - very committed people running it.
