Joy Novak teaches beginning through advanced piano lessons to students age 6 through adult. Whether your goal is to play today's biggest hits or grow into a serious classical pianist, Joy will provide you with the skills to do so in a caring and patient learning environment. Her vibrant teaching style emphasizes enjoyment as well as artistry and technique. She works hard to help you find music you want to play. As a result, you stay motivated, seek new challenges, and have fun.

Your individually customized piano lessons will include exposure to a wide range of musical styles; a strong foundation in musical fundamentals including theory and technique; and access to many performance opportunities such as recitals, music festivals and competitions.

Joy Novak

Joy Novak studied music at Oregon State University, earning her BAdegree in 1999. She has been playing the piano for more than 25 years,winning competitions and performing in venues as diverse as theMontinore Vineyards, the Gerding Theater at the Portland Armory, and theOregon Music Teachers Association's Annual State Conference. She spentthree years as the house pianist for the Hillsboro United MethodistChurch, and is available to perform for weddings, political fundraisers,and other private parties.
