We offer half hour and hour private lessons on guitar, bass, piano, and banjo, in its north Dallas location. There is a comfortable waiting area for parents or family and friends, restrooms, and a view of the student and teacher.Mike teaches all levels of guitar and bass guitar, beginning to intermediate piano with a focus on accompaniment in a performing situation, and beginning banjo. Instruction on all four instruments is accompanied by solid music theory, ear training, and appreciation of the style and structure of music.There are no recitals required of students. Note reading for guitar, bass, and banjo are provided only if requested.

Mike is an outstanding musician and piano teacher. He's been working with our six-year-old for a few months, and his experience is evident; his ability to apply different teaching techniques that he would for an adult, and most of all his patience make our son enjoy going to lessons and practicing every week. What's more is you can tell he thoroughly enjoys teaching and seeing his students make progress. We highly recommend Mike Ellis as your teacher.
