We offer you some of the best teachers in Austin. Our teachers are friendly and patient people who will customize the lessons to your specific interests, to get you exactly where you want to go with your instrument. We offer lessons in all styles of music for beginning to advanced students. All ages are welcome.
At least once a year, students will have the opportunity to sign up for a recital where they can perform for family and friends. We hold the recitals at a local, live- music club where students get to perform on a real stage and play any song they like in any style of music. (Weve heard everything from classical piano, to a rock n roll version of the Mickey Mouse song, to Metallica.) Students get to perform solo, with a band of their peers, or with their teachers.

Learn to read music or play by ear in many different styles of music from Classical, to Pop, to Blues, to Jazz. Lessons will be catered to your specific interests and needs. Learn to play your favorite songs, improvise, and how to write your own music by acquiring knowledge of music theory. Piano is a great instrument to start on for young children since it is technically less demanding to play than guitar at the beginner level.

I vividly remember sitting in my bedroom over ten years ago, stumbling through the simplest of chord progressions on my father’s old guitar. I didn’t know it then, but every frustrating moment I spent with the instrument would eventually culminate in a skill that now enhances every aspect of my life.

As a former teacher and current graduate student in education, I am always looking out for best practices in any educational setting. Steve Glazer knows just how to take what he knows and provide knowledge transfer in a way that is easy, fun and effective. If you want to learn to play the guitar, Strum will show you the way!
